Microfinance Thukha Myanmar

Hope and future for people in need

The aim of the Swiss charity "Microfinance Thukha Myanmar" is to help people in need in Myanmar in the working area of "Thukha Myanmar". Through the local company "Thuka Myanmar Mingalar Company Ltd." we support them financially and with consulting and training to develop themselves and build their own livelihood.

Due to the difficult economic and political situation more and more people lose their job and are not able to buy food.

Annual Report 2023

Meetings in Myanmar November 2023

In November, we were able to meet again with our team and with several project leaders in Yangon for constructive discussions.

We gained a better understanding of their tricky situation and were able encourage them.

As a core team we also had the opportunity to visit the vocational training center of FXB Myanmar.

Money for Work

Since April 2022, we support people in need a new way as help for self-help:
By working in charitable projects in their village, they receive wages as a contribution to their cost of living.

They clean roads and land, repair bamboo bridges, build fences, clean wells, clean at schools and in the hospital. The people are grateful for getting a contribution to food for their families, enjoy the work and good fellowship and see the benefits of clean villages.

From April to December 2023, we  supported several times up to 250 families in 17 villages.
