The objective of the charity “Microfinance Thukha Myanmar” is to help people in need in Myanmar to develop and build their own livelihood through financial support, counseling and training.

On August 14, 2019, the Taxation and Remission Commission of the Canton Basellandschaft has confirmed the association "Microfinance Thukha Myanmar" as a non-profit organization. This means that voluntary donations to the association are deductible from state, municipal and federal tax.
